Tip #9: Itemize the Cost Before You Buy (Save Money & Spend Intentionally)

What It Means to Itemize the Cost

Something caught your eye.

“Whoa.. I’ve never seen anything like this before. I really want it. How much is this thing?”

“$20? That’s an hour at work”

When you’re at the store, staring down an impulse purchase.

Crunch the numbers.

Itemize the cost.

How many hours would I have to work to pay for this? This thing you’ve picked up; Is it worth an hour or two, or three that you spent working?

Why Most Purchases Cost More Than the Price Tag

You gotta work to buy things.

Things should not work to buy YOU.

And YOU will have to find a place to keep it. Maintain it. Keep it clean. Actually use it at least, once every six months.

YOUR peace is worth more than anything and everything.
