Buy Less, Create More. 15 TIPS FOR CLEANING, ORGANIZING, FRUGAL LIVING, SAVING MONEY: TIP #6

Skip the Sale

Sales entice us.

But the truth is; the best deal is saving 100%. Therefore, buying nothing at all.

80% off?

Yeah.

You can walk away.

You’ll have more in your pocket and less clutter.

I can’t tell you how many things I’ve bought “it was only a dollar, maybe someone can use it!”

or

“can you believe I found this for $10. It’ll be nice to have if we need it”.

Yet, I really didn’t know what to do with it.

And it’s taking up space..

Toss it over there “for now”.

Repeat, over and over.

Again and again.

However, I’ve come across some great food sales. I will absolutely encourage anyone to snag up deals that they will actually use.

You won’t see me passing up beef burger for under $2.50lb. Or 10lb potatoes for $3.

However, I buy what we can use. If there’s a good sale; I’ll “stock up” for a one-month supply.

Stockpiling and storing for later; there’s a fine line between insanity and realistic.

Ration and plan! There’s expiration dates and shelf space to think about.

Throwing out food is the absolute worst.

Let other people have the deals too!

The biggest savings come from not spending at all.
