How Mindset Determines Your Outcomes
The ACE Approach: Always Committed Every Day
Any weight loss plan can be written out on paper. We can follow it half-heartedly or willingly.
As humans, we fulfill ourselves with our own needs and wants. We all falter, have bad days, make excuses.. And at the end of the day, I used food as an “I deserve it”. Or it’s a celebratory time, “I deserve it”.

You can still have a bad day, or the happiest celebration in your life, and stay within your means. Making excuses, blaming, and justifying yourself out of every situation, does not take care of the problem!
Here is the entire TRUTH.. You have to ACCEPT the fact that your body needs XXXX calories to maintain a certain weight.
And you have to eat XXXX to maintain this “certain weight” for the REST OF YOUR LIFE.

Saying “I need to lose about 100lbs”, then having “cheat days”, going “off my diet” for vacations/holidays/ weekends/funerals/weddings.. Is not making a PERMANENT change.
This is how its drilled into my head:
Bessie, you want to weigh 150lbs. Yes? OK. Eat 1500 calories every day.
It’s not, “ I’ve lost 50lbs now, I’m entitled to eat whatever I want for Thanksgiving”
(I actually got out of the 300’s the day after Thanksgiving 2021!)
If you ask me, there’s no “good or bad”. It’s either “aware or unaware”.
There’s cause and effect.
Choices have consequences.
Actions have words.
It’s only after reflection and self-awareness that we realize that there’s a problem.
Sometimes this “beast” seems completely unmanageable. We don’t want to “deal with it”. The excuses come to play “but I…”, “I can’t…”, “How am I supposed to….”.
No excuses.
Excuses are the barriers between YOU AND YOUR GOALS! Let go of all the excuses, and cling to what is GOOD!
Keep believing, striving, reaching, and accomplishing! God is the way maker and miracle worker! The beast is our own excuses.
