Feel your music, movies, and games”

Woojer Vest 4

Woojer Poetry

Twas the day after Halloween, and the first Saturday of November.

All the shoppers to be seen, it’s Christmastime! Remember?!

Into the doors of Sam’s Club, through an entire mob. On the left, a table of gifts… For you, your aunt, or Uncle Bob.

A great big box read “Haptic Vest”, I didn’t hardly see the rest. “Feel the sound”.. My curious mind wandered around.

What an experience this could be, for someone who feels sound already.

Can Deaf people hear Music?

OK.. Not many reviews start off with poetry. But, I am doing this review as I go. And right now, I have three hours to let the vest charge for the first time before using. So, yes.. I may as well, dabble in poetry. I already did my chores.

15 TIPS FOR CLEANING, ORGANIZING, FRUGAL LIVING, SAVING MONEY:
TIP #13

My very first experience “Feeling the Beat” was at Back Home Festival (New Martinsville, WV). I had recently bought an inflatable couch.. and I discovered something cool that day!

I am not a gamer, and I prefer subtitles on movies. I bought this vest for music. Because I sure do love music.

“Feel Everything”

The vest requires an android or iPhone. Download the app first, then charge the Woojer for three hours before first use. It seems like this is crazy. Out of the factory, the battery is 100% dead. You cannot try it out “right away”.

Charged Up & READY!

Ooop… ONE more thing! This firmware update took only two minutes.

Charged Up, CONNECTED & READY!

I strapped the vest on to fit. Got the Bluetooth to the vest synched to my phone. Pulled up Spotify.. And I could feel the beat!

Throughout the vest was rhythmic vibrations, in tune with the song. Pretty cool! Now.. How do I hear the song?

This question would be the driving thought in my brain for the next hour. How do I hook it up to hear both?

My phone is a Samsung Galaxy s21 smartphone. It has full-multi Bluetooth capabilities. However, there’s no headphone jack.

I do not own headphones. At this point in my deafness; I am unable to use them. I listen to 90% of my music in the car. Maybe 8% on TV. And the lucky 2% is live music.

My hearing aids are Phonak Naida UP-90. They are BTE (Behind the Ear) and ultra profound. These are a little older, released the year before Bluetooth capabilities.

I tried to hook it up with my Anker Soundcore Rave.

I tried to hook it up to my Toyota Rav4 and Android Auto.

I tried. And I tried…

Something worked.

Yet, nothing happened.

This was almost a Something or nothing type device; it was simultaneously something AND nothing.

Without an audible source; music is not the same. Basically, this is what music feels like. I like the sound too. I think we all like to hear SOMETHING.

To anyone interested in purchasing this vest: Be sure you own headphones or airpods. Otherwise, the experience is not 100% fulfilling. It is only 50% fulfilling, which is lacking. And it doesn’t quite make sense.

Basically.. I gave up and returned it. (Sam’s Club returned the product with no issues)

I was unable to use this product, therefore I feel like I can’t give an honest review. However, my experience with the Woojer Vest was an adventure. A frustrating experience I’d rather not do again.

Until then, I will wait for live music to hear and feel the beat. The next real adventure. Aren’t we all lucky?
