What is the MOST fun festival in West Virginia?
If someone were to ask me this question; my mind would start playing scenes from the Jackson’s Mill Jubilee.
In 2023; we visited the Jubilee for the very first time. It’s 2024; and we’re looking forward to it again! We will likely go next year, too.
Located an hour south of Morgantown, WV is the City of Weston. Lewis County is home to some pretty cool attractions. Namely the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum and Museum of American Glass.

Tumble for Tradition!
You and your family will enjoy making memories at this festival. Jackson’s Mill Jubilee offers a schedule of events unlike any other festival.

Put it into Plan!
Plan to spend at least five hours here.
The property is also the boyhood home of Gen. Thomas J. ‘‘Stonewall’’ Jackson. Over 1500 acres; complete with a home, grist mill, and saw mill. In 1924, 500 acres of the land was reserved and developed. This section at Jackson’s Mill became home to West Virginia’s State 4H Camp. The very first 4H Camp in the Nation.

Everything you need to know before heading to the Jackson’s Mill Jubilee!
Is the Jubilee good for kids?
Absolute YES! Children 3 and under are FREE. Kids will enjoy horseback riding, face painting, car show, tractor show, princess parties, bubble makers, petting Zoo… It’s a day of endless entertainment!
Can I bring my dog to the Jackson’s Mill Jubilee?
Service dogs are permitted. Please leave your pets at home. This wouldn’t be an ideal place to bring Fido.

Parking:
Parking is in a field nearby the festival grounds. Pull up to ticketing canopy. You’ll receive a wristband, guide, and direction. From there; park your car and ride the tractor shuttle.
General Cost:
At the ticketing canopy, in the parking field. Pay $5 admission per person. Children 3 and under are FREE. It’s a smooth process! The $5 covers all entertainment; including axe throwing and horse rides!
Atmosphere:
The atmosphere here is FAMILY! It’s a large chunk of land (500 acres!). There’s so much to roam and see. Plenty of excitement! Lots of exhibits, vendors, and cool things to do.
Food/Ride Lines:
There’s no carnival rides. But, there’s food! The food lines seemed long at noon. It’s a special event that brings folks from all over. It’s busy!
Cleanliness:
It’s a special event with many folks. Which means, lots of trash. The grounds were clean. Restrooms were decent. Clean up crews were busy!
Service of Staff:
At the gate; the staff were extremely helpful. For a first timer, the festival is different. Borderlining confusing. Pay in the car? Then ride the shuttle? Pay nothing at the gate? THIS is the gate?
It’s a smooth process that isn’t common practice. It really was too easy!
The Jubilee of Joy!
Jackson’s Mill Jubilee is a great festival that highlights the arts of West Virginia. Homemade artisans. Real deals. Absolutely no MLM-Products. I especially enjoyed browsing handcarved kitchen utensils at Allegheny Treenware.
A full music schedule; showcasing mountain music. Listen to the fiddles, banjo, and mandolins. It’s the sound of Appalachia!
Abraham Lincoln impersonator. Car show. Tractor show. Petting Zoo. Axe throwing. Horseback rides. Bounce houses. Hymn sings. Nothing but cool things! All for $5.
