Let me make this crystal clear;
The Museum of American Glass
is all that it’s cracked up to be!
Take a Roadtrip to Weston!
The American Glass Museum is located in downtown Weston. Right across the bridge from the infamous Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum.
First Impressions
This place is HUGE.
As soon as we walked in the door, I was legitimately surprised.
Colorful displays everywhere!
From floor to ceiling!

Even the ceiling is glassy!
Categorized, arranged, sectioned, organized.

Interesting and Eclectic!
As soon as I walked in, I knew this place was COOL!

Unique and Random!
The exhibits will pique the curiosity of minds young and old!
Explore & Discover
Like I said, this place is HUGE.
Once the surprise wore off; we really began to get lost in this museum. Looking at all the one-of-a-kind pieces.

The Children’s Area
Kids will be so delighted to spot their favorite characters! Cartoons from television and movies are right here in the Glass Museum!
Glass toys.
Glass cars.
Even an enormous glass doll house!

There were several marble “machines” for kids (and adults) to enjoy!
One of my favorite exhibits was the History of Glass.
In the back of the Museum, there is a shelf with about 30 or 40 drinking glass cups. Arranged and labeled by each decade; from the early 1800s to glass manufacturing today.
Touch and feel the History!
- Pre-Civil War Glass
- Great Depression Era Glass
- Totally 90’s Glass
All said and done!
The Museum of American Glass in West Virginia is so incredibly unique.
100% transparent; The Glass Museum is COOL!
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
And it’s FREE of Charge!
Plan to spend at least two hours here.
This is a great stop for an iternary! Personally, I wouldn’t make a trip solely for the Glass Museum. Make it a “stop” on the way North or South. It’s right off of I-79!

Young and old minds alike will be amazed. Whether you’re 4 years old, or 44 years old. Or, even 104 years old.
Stand, gawk, be amazed.
There’s something for everyone.
There are so many exhibits!
So many pieces and displays.
The Glass Museum can’t be bottled up.
Go experience it for yourself!
