Elevate your outdoor FESTIVAL experience with Oboz
Are OBOZ Boots any good?
Best shoes to wear to a festival?
All day (and half the night) comfort!
Year Four of Oboz Sawtooth mid
My three year review is in depth for these questions:
How do Oboz fit?
How good are Oboz Boots?

(A well-worn, 3 year review)
Year 4: Four-Get Limits!
(2025 and Beyond)
Since my lengthy three year review; I’ve been wearing my Oboz almost daily. In the Summer, they get less use. Oboz Sawtooth mids run warm for a hot day.
Spring into Summer!
Last Spring, we enjoyed several hikes a week. Local spots around Morgantown, WV.

A special trip to Red River Gorge, KY. You and your family would enjoy hikes in “Thrillsville”, too!

We hit the bullseye! Cedar Creek State Park was one steepest hikes I’ve done in the state of West Virginia. The Oboz climbed straight up the Ridgeline!

I sat down and slid for the descent.
The Sounds of Summer!
It’s the Sounds of Summer🎶
Summer 2024 was upon us! The days were getting warmer. The calendar was filled busy.
Concerts, Fairs, Festivals, Camping, Adventures and Roadtrips.
Ask me about the time I saw The Wailers for $10-Frugal Cheapskate 💚💛❤️

Back Home Festival, New Martinsville, WV

(An essential packing list for Appalachian Rustic Tent Camping)
In the Summer, I enjoy camping in my Oboz boots. Typically, I’ll wear these until everything is set up. Then I go barefoot, or put on crocs.
Pack your Boots!
I always pack my boots! This one particular camping trip; a festival, rather.

The Glades Festival Grounds, Gibbon Glade, PA
We really enjoyed Grass in the Glades Festival! During the evening show; I usually dance barefoot. A surprise stray shower made the ground a bit.. Muddy. So, I put on my Oboz boots for the concert.
Firewater Tent Revival came on for the 9pm.
Have you ever danced to psychedelic jamgrass in the mud?
The hiking boots, that became work boots, that became dancing boots..
About an hour into that show I quickly realized something. These are the best boots for dancing. My feet stayed dry, I didn’t slip in the mud, and I could STOMP!
I can dance. I can STOMP. Even go traipsing in the woods with zero issues.
Soles for Rhythm, Roots, Reggae, Ska, and Soul.
Summer 2024 came and went. Memories were made. It was a busy fun summer. Along with seeing four sets of Firewater Tent Revival. We roadtripped to Jacob’s Pavillion to see Dirty Heads, Slightly Stoopid, and The Elovators.

(PLUS 44 Songs you need to Hear!)
We saw a ton of local shows. Along with The Outlaw Festival; featuring Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, and John Mellencamp. And yes, The Wailers, too!

Fall into Winter
As the nights turned cooler, the Festival and Camping season came to an end. Back to hiking!
Family Friendly WV Hiking Trails

In the Fall; We enjoyed the Coalfields Waterfalls Loop. My Oboz kept traction through several steep hikes. But, I could tell they are getting pretty worn.
“These boots may be better for dancing..”

Mountain Roots

Getting into Winter 2025; Specifically the month of January. It snowed daily! Well, just about every single day. Cabin fever set in. I stepped into a side venture.
How much snow will West Virginia see in the coming days?

Feelin’ Winter-ful
We took a Winter hike up in Davis, WV. I found out that my Oboz are not quite holding up. My feet were extremely cold and wet after the short jaunt. A few chilly days later, I had frostbite on two toes.

It was time to switch off to a new pair (I have back up). Apparently the waterproof layer had got completely worn out. My Oboz no longer served a purpose as Winter boots.
However, come Summer.. They’re still the best festival boots! Come whatever, the Oboz will tackle the ultimate.
Full circle, it’s Spring and everyone is ready to go again!

May you find a reason to enjoy each day
Put on your boots, step over some roots
Warm sunshine leads the way,
Gaze the beauty; flowers and trees
Feel the music, hear the power
of Creation that surrounds these
People we’ve Found.
Give Thanks for this chance
Go ahead and dance
You are so loved ♥️
