Planning the Adventure
This was part of the Coalfields Waterfalls Roadtrip.

While visiting Twin Falls; we met a stranger.
“You guys gotta go to Grandview”
Don’t you LOVE generic word-of-mouth recommendations?
I’m a people person. I’m also Deaf.

Call it a blessing, a curse, or however you may see it. But, I absolutely love chatting up strangers and making small talk.
I’ve met the coolest people this way.
It comes naturally to me. I see someone, I want to say something.
“Hey! How ya doing?”
Sometimes it leads to a whole new friendship. Other times I’ll get a smile or a nod.
However, if we are strangers and YOU recommend a place for me to visit. I’ll likely take your recommendation. 9 times out of 10; I’ll go.
I’ve found the coolest places this way.
Arriving the Destination

Arriving to Grandview; it is part of National Park Services. The crowd level is about on par with Hawks Nest State Park. Mid-level.

Looking out the Overlook; you could see so many trees in their full Autumn glory. Millions of trees, it felt like.

The middle section was bare in the 1800s due to Timber mining. Since then, the trees have been replanted and grown.

This beautiful vista reminded me of one I’ve seen before. But, much larger and more grande.
Greenridge State Forest in Little Orleans, MD has a smaller horseshoe curvature around the Potomac River.
