Making sense today of lost history from long ago.
What is Samhain?
What is Bonfire night?
Who is Guy Fawkes?

Why the King James Bible of 1611 Remains the Most Popular Translation in History
How did America originate out of England?

Celebrate the Season!
What exactly is Halloween?
I feel like every single person will answer this differently. Some folks enjoy the scary movies, haunted houses, ghosts, goblins. Everything creepy, kooky, and spooky.
Other folks simply want absolutely no part of this “pagan holiday”.
Then there’s cultures and societies that have no idea what such celebration exists.
Trick or Treat
In America; Trick or Treating began during the Great Depression. Children would knock on doors and ask for a treat. If they got nothing; they’d do a mean trick. A neighborly prank!

October 31 is the traditional day for “trick or treat” in our neighborhood.
It was such a joy to see everyone! The neighbors who gave, and the neighbors who took. To the ones who gave: Thanks for Giving. To the ones that took; that’s a cool costume!
What is Samhain?
Way before calendars existed; Man relied on the sun, moon, and seasonal changes. The moon changes each night. The days get colder and shorter. Then they get warmer and longer.
To know the right time.
To plant, reap, and sow.
The sun provides.

What is Bonfire night?
Each year, on November 5th; The United Kingdom (where America originated from) celebrates Guy Fawkes Night or Bonfire Night.
Present day; People Celebrate the Season by having a bonfire or going to a fireworks show. Or learn about the Gunpowder Plot and recite this poem:
Remember, remember!
The fifth of November,
The Gunpowder treason and plot;
I know of no reason
Why the Gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot!
Guy Fawkes and his companions
Did the scheme contrive,
To blow the King and Parliament
All up alive.
Threescore barrels, laid below,
To prove old England’s overthrow.
But, by God’s providence, him they catch,
With a dark lantern, lighting a match!
A stick and a stake
For King James’s sake!
If you won’t give me one,
I’ll take two,
The better for me,
And the worse for you.
A rope, a rope, to hang the Pope,
A penn’orth of cheese to choke him,
A pint of beer to wash it down,
And a jolly good fire to burn him.
Holloa, boys! holloa, boys! make the bells ring!
Holloa, boys! holloa boys! God save the King!
Hip, hip, hooor-r-r-ray!

Throughout life; we all endure struggles. It’s Something or nothing. Since the beginning; we’re equipped with the choice.
Livelihood is not for LIFE
From the Farms, to the Orchards. To other natural resources like, coal and timber. The land was provided to us.
It is our responsibility to care.
Throughout time and history; Humans have been at the mercy of emprorers, tribal leaders, and government. Under prominent leadership; our lives can be felt safe or feared.
Above all, chose love.
Below all, it is the way.
The sun provides
(and so does the rain)
Care and be responsible
Thanks for Giving
