Man-Made Lake
The town of Cheat Haven was flooded by West Penn Power (WPP) for the hydroelectric dam project. Originally proposed as Lake Lynn, named after WPP President Albert M. Lynn. The project was completed in 1927; to this present day, it’s been known as Cheat Lake.
