How to Make Proper Spaghetti

How to Make Proper Spaghetti (I’ve been making it WRONG my entire life!)

Combining the greatest tips on reddit; I came up with a quick and easy recipe for success!

This proper spaghetti is fast and easy weeknight meal. Spaghetti has never tasted better!

This is both a life hack and a “time crunch” recipe.

OK.

This is not a recipe, per se.

It’s a method.

I’m not gonna say this is better than your Italian Grandmother’s method. You know, the one with fresh tomatoes, spices, homemade noodles. Nine hours of love, sweat, and labor. I’d love to sit down and have a bowl of that instead!

Hack & Master!

This is the first article of the “Mindset Mastery &lifehacks” series.

Because every grown adult should know how to make spaghetti.

It’s one of the most simple and easy meals to cook!

Hack & master!

What you’ll need:
Your favorite box of Spaghetti (half the box for 4 people)
Your favorite jar of sauce
Your favorite spices (and sugar!)
1lb Cooked Hamburger
Onion&Peppers
Olive Oil

  • In a skillet, heat up olive oil on medium-high heat. Sautée onions and peppers. Until tender.
  • Add cooked burger and spaghetti sauce. Add additional spices, if necessary. Simmer on medium-low heat and cover.
  • Add a tiny bit of olive oil, minced garlic, and salt to the pasta water. Boil the pasta until almost done. Like, one minute from completely done.
  • Drain almost all the water. Leave a little bit of water behind (like, a tablespoon or two).
  • Add pasta to the sauce skillet and stir quickly until noodles are tender.
  • Serve warm with Parmesan cheese. Pairs best with a salad or garlic bread. Or both!

By finishing cooking the pasta in the sauce; it completely changes the flavor and texture of spaghetti.

It’s a step above.

Proper.

In other words; it’s REALLY GOOD!

I’ve never really been a big fan of spaghetti. I’ve always done the “boil and dump sauce” method.

I never order pasta at restaurants because “I can make it at home in ten minutes. And it costs 50 cents”.

Through this mindset; I’ve always thought spaghetti was overrated.

Spaghetti is actually REALLY good! And it’s really good to know how to actually make spaghetti!

Life Hack⚡

Make weeknight meals even faster with precooked frozen beef! I freeze portion 1lb bags of cooked burger for super fast and easy meals. Onions and peppers can be cut up and frozen, too. Toss ‘em in for quicker and easier!
