Before I made the decision to lose weight; I’ve never done yoga. Never.

My old-former self would say something like, “Yoga is stupid.. What’s the point?”.

I’m here to tell you that Yoga is not stupid. And it has LOTS of great points! Flexibility and strength being the main focus. And you know what else is crucial to yoga? Breathing.


5 Techniques to Transform the Way You Breathe In Yoga




We are all wonderfully created, respectfully. Our minds are capable of processing millions of thoughts. Our bodies are made up of muscles, joints, and tendons; made to move with ease.

So many features on our bodies are “automatic”. Like; breathing. I’ve never forgotten to breathe. Then again I’ve never needed a reminder to keep continually pumping air into my lungs.

Controlled breathing regulates the body.

Take one or two minutes to focus on your breath.

Inhale..

Exhale..

Inhale..
Exhale..

Feel your chest rise.
Feel your abdomen relax.

Take this time to focus solely on your breathing.

Feel the weight off your shoulders.

Feel your back loosen up.

Without any external thoughts or distractions.

Humans are able to breathe without conscious effort. Despite all the distractions, those lungs keep pumping. It’s really amazing, when you think of it.

Take time, free of distractions. Focus on what keeps you alive– the invisible, yet essential. ❤️
