Practice morning mindfulness, symbolizing intentional waking up and starting the day consciously

The Mindful Journey (Part 1 – Tip 8): Wake Up Mindfully for a More Intentional and Focused Day

Waking Up Mindfully: Tip #8 for Mindfulness, Awareness & Intentional Living

Wake up, Dogs! The morning routine EVERYONE should practice.

As you open your eyes and awake for the day; take time. Take time to pray, meditate, stretch, and wake up.

It’s a brand new day!

Look out your window! See the sunrise? Take time to look outside; better yet– do your stretches outside.

Drink water. Wake up those organs! That first glass of water in the morning is the best glass.

Take care of yourself. Shower. Brush your teeth. Fix your hair. Apply skincare. Put on an outfit for the day.

Get ready.

Feel ready.

I intentionally try to “put off” using my cell phone or electronic devices until I absolutely need to.

I make a conscious effort to keep my morning “simple”. It may seem “boring”. But does anyone really want chaos?

I’ve spent many years skipping most of this stuff. I would check my phone as soon as my eyes open. Then I’d have to pee really bad. Then it’s like, “Shoot! I gotta leave for work in 10 minutes”. Then I’d scramble around in a dressing frenzy. Pure chaos.
